ב-16 באוקטובר הייתי במוצב על גבול הצפון, אחרי שהגעתי לשם עם הפלוגה והגדוד שלי לפנות בוקר של ה-8.10. בתוך המוצב המבוטן לא הייתה קליטה ובחוץ היה מסוכן להסתובב, אבל מדי פעם היינו יוצאים לשטח קטן מוגן יחסית עם קליטה כדי להתעדכן במימדים הנוראיים של הטבח שהחלו להתברר ובשמות הנרצחים.
