National Federation of the Blind of the UK, Nottingham Branch - campaigning on behalf of blind and partially sighted people in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Today we’ve launched a new petition asking Michael Gove to step up and protect #Blind and #PartiallySighted people’s guarantee of a secret vote.

Here's proof that tactile keyboard stickers don't have to be pre-made or expensive. I just cut up a small, foam star and stuck the different shapes to the keyboard to make keys easier to find. @info_nutz says hers are useful already! For a campaign group secretary that's huge!
We have a helpful toolkit which explains the new accessible web regulations that came in this week and outlines what steps you can take if the #Accessibility standards are not met by the apps you use.

CAMPAIGN UPDATE: The Government has announced that there will be a funding plan by Autumn 2021 for installing tactile at stations where it's missing.
Whilst we are glad to see progress, completing tactile installation by 2029 is still not soon enough. https://t.co/KvsbxOLPEx
We are almost at 15,000 signatures on our petition to make sure no more #Blind or #PartiallySighted people are killed or injured falling from unsafe rail platforms.
Will you help by adding your name?
Share, tag three nominees and pass it on.
