Tomorrow is @NFCarnival Day - so expect some additional delays around Darnley Road/Rathmore Road/New Road around 2.45pm to 3.30pm as the parade arrives in the town centre - route will go east along New Rd ending this year at Windmill Street by The Robert Pocock Pub

Once the Procession is on Pelham Road it will stop for approximately 30 – 45 minutes for a break. Please note that the roads off Pelham Road, for example Lennox Road, will still be open for traffic to drive across, but the length of Pelham Road will be closed.

the procession will then head into Town by making a right turn at the traffic lights at the top of Bath Street and proceeding down New Road as far as Windmill Street. This is where the Carnival will end.

The rest of the route for the Carnival remains the same as before. We have outlined the route which we have submitted for approval below:

At the traffic lights, the procession will go straight across and down into Perry Street. From here we go through the double roundabout and up Pelham Road towards the Town Centre.

We have been seeing questions and queries about the route the Carnival is going to take due to the closure of Milton Road in the Town Centre. This does disrupt the route and there has been a lot of work behind the scenes and we had planned to take, but it does only affect the end
