E: The new program I shoot now is really more tired than I thought. I did that program for no reason, I just worried that you might get bored during my break period. I felt like I needed to appear somewhere so you could still see me and not feel bored.
So when the offer came in, I didn’t think too deeply about it, I just accepted it, including details like how many episodes we’d film and when we’d shoot, with the broadcast timing ending up in a period when you might feel bored.
Only later, when I checked the contract carefully, I realized we had to leave for filming at dawn. During those filming days, I was leaving at 5 a.m., almost without sleeping. I usually sleep around 3–4 a.m., sometimes 2 a.m. at the earliest. Thinking about having to leave at 5 a.m. made it even harder to sleep, so I ended up going to shoots after staying up all night or only sleeping for about 30 minutes. Even though we left early in the morning, we still had to film the whole day. I really did this show for you.
As you know, I haven’t really wanted to do variety shows for years. I want to focus on my main job. After all, variety shows consume a lot of your image. Sometimes your image gets consumed in ways you don't really want, and there’s also this pressure to do well or be funny, which can feel like a burden. I feel it’s best to just meet you through albums and tours instead, so I want to focus on that.
Right now, besides the YouTube content I do with Donghae, I haven’t had any thoughts about doing anything else. Like, at all. You might be disappointed to hear this, I don't think I'll be doing any other shows after this one. Probably. So, I’m working really hard on this shoot for you guys, and I hope you enjoy it when it comes out.

1.The first group I ever stanned was Super Junior, and inside that group there is one pair (yes, exactly the pair you’re thinking of)that I genuinely believe is the realest in all of South Korea.
If you call it friendship, then it’s friendship at its peak.
If you call it love, not even every couple can compare.
After following them for so many years, the things I’ve vaguely heard about them have shocked and moved me so much. It’s the kind of feeling like, “So this is what a bond can be.”
Since many people ship them romantically, I’ll share a few things I personally saw that lean toward what most people would consider “love”.

2.The “seven I love you” moment. I was there in the audience.
The atmosphere in person was even more intense than what you see online.
There was this strange feeling of “are they really about to come out in front of everyone”.
I don’t know how to describe it, but I truly felt like I was witnessing the first male idol couple in Kpop history come out publicly. That was just my personal feeling though, I can’t speak for others.

3.I’ve run into them three times.(In small towns in Korea you often bump into idols.)
At first I got excited and took pictures, but after seeing so many I stopped, only taking photos of the ones I really like.
One time, I saw them from behind in a small alley. It was just me and my friend, no one else around.
I saw Hyukjae walking with his hand on Donghae’s butt, lightly patting him twice.
I thought about it for a bit and didn’t take any photos.
Another time was at a restaurant that serves marinated crab.
They were sitting in a hidden corner.
I found them when I went to the restroom. Hyukjae scooped out the crab meat, mixed it with rice, and fed Donghae with a spoon.
After eating, Donghae leaned on the table and fell asleep.
Hyukjae went over, sat beside him, hugged him, and slept too.
He even rubbed Donghae’s chest twice.
(No one noticed them. Maybe because they dressed low-key and blended in, but since I’ve liked them for so long, I recognized them immediately.)
