❌ ERC-721: Majority of collections have unfrozen metadata which leads to friction whenever the holder and creator incentive alignments diverge (e.g. goblintown changed their images to middle fingers to force collectors to upgrade to a permissioned contract)

Some info on ERC-1155 and ERC-721:

ERC-1155 is the standard used when you mint directly through Opensea. It's cheaper in gas and might be useful for some, but there are some key differences compared to ERC-721 that you need to know about.
