1)Unpopular take: @PunksOnSolana was a necessary experiment to explore the potential of NFTs on Solana.
They are clearly distinct from all the "copycat" cashgrabs that came after in attempt to imitate SolPunk's success. Without SolPunks, NFTs on SOL may have never been a thing.
@DanRosario_eth @beautiful_nfts_ I understand that, but how does one decide whether a bid is hoping for a fat finger/mistake?
It literally wiped out every bid including the “fair” ones, such as the 650 ETH ape bid, removing the opportunity of getting quick liquidity for the owner.
@beautiful_nfts_ I’d say 5% is way too small. There are many legit sales in the range of 5~10% below floor just for quick liquidity.
I also believe the site has enough protection against dust bids after the 1E minimum bid change.
@PunksOnSolana
is the only NFT collection on #Solana that "made sense" to me. All the other projects could be on ETH and it would make no difference.
The Solana gradient + iconic punks gives them a real unique statement, and I expect to see more demand as Solana grows.
@M2B222 @PunksOnSolana Not exactly the first, actually first to "mint out", but congratulations! The red mohawk + covid mask makes that punk very special
At my volumes I'd have paid $19,000,000 in OS fees if I were trading artblocks instead of punks ($900,000 yesterday alone).
As nice as the $SOS airdrop seems, the real gift is @matthall2000 and @pents90 offering a 0 fee market on the best, and most liquid NFT project around.
@DegenSwings@PunksOnSolana @BoldBadgers @MagicEden_NFT @SolanartNFT By that definition won't every project be a slow rug? The developers will eventually get bored and leave the community on its own.
The devs left the historical pieces behind, so I give them props for that.
