@godfred_xcuz Every large institution is looking for BTC yield. Our protocol bonds are the cleanest product out for it. It's a $100B+ market today, just for staking/yield for BTC.
2025 was a great year to raise a fresh treasury for Stacks.
With significant treasury runway and lean operations, Stacks eco is fully prepared for the bear market. Not our first rodeo.
The next 100x in Bitcoin is in the execution layer, starting with BTC yield. Onwards!

Just gave a $365,000 loan on this Zombie Cryptopunk
If it doesn't default and the borrower repays I'll make $34,000 over 180 days
If it does default... well at least I'll have a new profile picture to change to
This Claude Monet just sold for $53,764,000 USD.
In fifty years someone says the same thing about a piece that costs 2 eth right now. they just don’t know which one yet.

Legend!
Bitcoin Staking is being called the top-of-funnel for @Stacks. I think that's right - but only if the funnel actually converts!
Bridged capital ≠ activated capital. sBTC TVL peaked at ~5,000 BTC & has since pulled back to ~3,000 BTC. Capital came in, didn't find enough to do, & left. That's the problem Bitcoin Staking aims to solve
Here's what the conversion path looks like when it works 👇
A new staker locks BTC on L1, pairs a small STX allocation, starts earning native BTC yield. Clean so far. But then what? Now they're in a 6-month bond with a Stacks STX address & skin-in-the-game. The ecosystem has maybe 30 seconds to show them what's possible before they close the tab.
That 6-month window demands a path that's legible on the first try: stBTC that flows directly into @StackingDao for liquid staking, @ZestProtocol for lending/borrowing, @HermeticaFi for BTC-backed stablecoin yield, @bitflow for LP fees.
I run these loops live - Zest, StackingDAO, Hermetica, etc. The protocols are ready. The onboarding layer is the open question.
Stacks should get opinionated about which dApps own each step of that path - decide on a canonical onboarding path & make it obvious before the first bond matures
