At a time when we are working smart to increase inbound visitor numbers, it’s truly gratifying for Kenya to welcome two cruise ships to Mombasa—MV Europa and MV World Odyssey—with upwards of 1,000 tourists.

It’s even more heartwarming that yet another cruise ship is expected to dock in Mombasa with 2,000 visitors onboard this coming week.

Kudos Kenya Ports Authority for making Mombasa a preferred port of call for cruise ship adventure!

A highlight of our exhibition is the Turkana Boy, a nearly complete 1.6-million-year-old Homo Erectus skeleton. This remarkable find confirms Kenya as the cradle of humanity.

Though rock hyraxes resemble rodents, their closest living relatives are actually elephants and manatees.”
In Kiswahili they’re known as Pelele or Wibari.
