Dj Ganyani goes back to his roots to host the Where It All Began event.

It's gonna be a night to remember when legendary Dj Ganyani host his annual Where It All Started event.

Real name Fredericks Tshabalala from Meadowlands East in Soweto in Johannesburg, Dj Ganyani will host the Where It All Started event with an aim of taking people back to where it all began.

Where it all started is the sound returns home and the event is aimed at taking his music lovers to timeless grooves, shared memories and the community that shaped a culture.

The event will be held on 25 January in Meadowlands in Zone 2 in Soweto.

"The event honours the era of cassette tapes and vinyl records, when house music was shared hand-to-hand, DJs were true selectors, and the dance floor was the heartbeat of the culture.

"As one of South Africa’s pioneering house DJs, I helped shape a sound and movement born from these streets, a legacy that continues to influence generations. This gathering brings that story to life through timeless house grooves, familiar faces and an atmosphere rich with nostalgia and meaning. It is more than a party, it’s a homecoming. It's a return to the roots, the music, and the people who made it all possible," he said.
