A Ghanaian traditional marriage rite in which the brideโs family gives the groom a coin to throw as far as possible without looking at where it lands.
According to the tradition, if the groom ever wants to end the marriage, he must first find the coin and return it to the brideโs family before they will consider the separation.
An extremely difficult task symbolising a lasting marriage and encouraging the couple to stay together forever.
