However, most other organizations would not waste money on a 1/32 chance of playing in the LEC. Which, in turn, will not generate any money.

@mldnne @Naughtybaum @DorisIancu No team buys players in the middle of the split for obvious reasons. Especially in this scenario. Players would demand way higher salary and orgs would demand higher prices for buy out. This doenst help anyone, and no org would take that risk.

PLUS they stream everything so they are in focus even more? I am the last one who defends LR in every situation but watching them in Winter/Spring was completely different based on their behavior

We also all know that RIOT can't just bring Tier 2 teams into the LEC for an entire season. That's why RIOT is trying to step by step introduce this format, as long as it's well received and works reasonably well.
