Scientists found hemp oil extract shuts down colorectal cancer cell growth!
Hemp oil extract was tested for effects on colorectal cancer cells.
It disrupts purine processing, lowers the cancer-promoting protein c-MYC, and reduces cell-division proteins (CCND1, CDK4, CDK6).
This traps cancer cells in the early growth stage (G1 phase), slowing their multiplication.

What if cannabis could fight the brain cancer that still kills most patients in ~14 months?
Condensed - GBM is the most common aggressive brain cancer; average survival is only about 14 months.
Cannabinoids (from cannabis) may do more than ease chemo nauseaāthey can directly slow or kill cancer cells.
GBM cells have cannabinoid receptors (CB1/CB2). Activating them reduces growth, invasion, and triggers cell death.

š„ BAC Social is growing, and itās starting to feel like something real
Weāre not trying to copy Facebook or any of the other big platforms. Weāre building a proper community space where people can actually talk about cannabis without wondering if their post is about to disappear or their account is going to get restricted.
Weāve just added a THC and CBD calculator. If youāre a prescribed patient you can work out cannabinoid content across flower, oils, distillates, wax and mixes, plus rough infusion strengths and amounts per serving. Itās live now.
Thatās just one part of it though. Weāve already got community posts, photos, comments, reactions, private messaging, notifications, competitions, and an app you can install on your phone that sends you alerts properly.
No more waiting to see if Facebook decides your content is acceptable. No more hoping an algorithm shows your post to the people who actually want to see it.
Weāre still early. Every person who joins makes the place stronger and more independent. Weāve all spent long enough building communities on platforms that can wipe everything overnight. This time weāre building somewhere of our own.
If that sounds better to you, come and join us. Bring a couple of people with you if you can. The more of us there are, the harder it is for anyone to take it away.

Decade of research: Most cannabinoids improved memory, thinking, and behavior in Alzheimerās models!
A review of 2014ā2024 studies found that most natural (THC, CBD, etc.) and synthetic cannabinoids improved memory, thinking, and behavior.
They appear to protect brain cells (mainly via CB1) and reduce inflammation (mainly via CB2).
Pairing them with drugs that boost acetylcholine may work even better.

Nebraska Officials Consider Changes To Medical Marijuana Rules: One amendment would remove a requirement for product labels to list medical cannabis as a Schedule I controlled substance in light of federal rescheduling.

Recreational cannabis users had 96% lower odds of reporting memory/confusion problems than non-users!
People who used cannabis only for non-medical (recreational) reasons had about 96% lower odds of reporting SCD compared to people who didnāt use cannabis at all. This was a statistically significant result.
How often people used cannabis and the method they used (smoke, eat, vaporize, etc.) were not significantly linked to SCD.

Most of Europe has already started changing the rules.
Germany lets adults grow a few plants at home and join non-profit clubs. Malta and Luxembourg allow home growing. Czechia made private cultivation of up to three plants legal at the start of this year. The Dutch are testing a regulated supply so their coffeeshops donāt have to rely on the black market. Switzerland is running social club pilots. These arenāt perfect systems and the evaluations are still early, but the basic idea that adults need permission or a criminal record just to grow and use the plant has already been dropped in those places.
The UK is still treating it as Class B with no plans to change that. Private prescriptions have shot up, the medical review that was supposed to look at how the 2018 rules are actually working is still overdue, and the official position remains that nothing is moving on adult use. Neighbouring countries are monitoring what happens when you stop criminalising basic possession and home growing. Weāre still defending the old setup as if the alternatives donāt already exist.
Thatās the actual state of reform right now. Not a theory. Not a petition. Countries have already written the new rules and started running them.
A review concluded that "cannabinoids as promising anticancer agents and therapeutic adjuvants, predominantly in the preclinical setting."

Good morning stoners
Just a quick reminder that if life gives you lemons, make lemonade
If life gives you cannabis, apparently you need a prescription, a consultation, three forms of ID and permission from someone whoās never tried it
Funny how the lemons get away with everything
Have a cracking morning you lot
A single injection of an extremely low dose of THC significantly reduced anxiety in mice subjected to chronic stress, with improvements still evident three weeks after treatment, according to a study published this week by Journal of Molecular Neuroscience.https://t.co/k9y8l8LBzq
Countries must stand together and end cannabis prohibition.
Individual reforms are not enough. A few nations changing their own laws leaves the global system intact and allows the rest to keep punishing people for the same plant. Real change only happens when countries act together, refuse to continue enforcing the old rules, and force the international framework to catch up.
The current approach is fragmented and weak. Nations that have already legalised can lead by coordinating, sharing frameworks, and making it clear that prohibition no longer has their support. Isolated progress gets ignored. Collective pressure does not.
Stand together. Change the rules together. Free cannabis worldwide.
Study finds Ī8-THC protects brain cells from Alzheimerās!
Alzheimerās is the most common dementia, caused by sticky protein clumps that damage and kill brain cells.
It also involves brain inflammation, mis folded proteins, and stress in the cellās protein-processing system.
In lab tests on brain-like cells, pre treatment with Ī8-THC helped the cells survive better when exposed to the Alzheimerās protein.
The Alzheimerās protein triggered stress in the cellās protein quality-control system, leading to cell death.
Ī8-THC reduced that stress and protected the cells.
