To the public, let it be known, it was the same Afande Mukibi who shot at me during the last election, and once again he aimed for the same spot, this time with a helmet to my head. The same man, the same cruelty.

I was standing on a car tyre when I suddenly felt someone slap my legs, ordering the driver to move yet the President was still giving his speech and on top of that I was on the same car tyre…. about my stepping down. I calmly asked him why he was pulling me down and pushing the driver to move while the President was still talking. I politely requested him to wait just five minutes. He then looked me in the face and said openly, “You told the world that I shot at you in the 2021 election.” I replied, “Yes, you almost ended my life.” And he said, without hesitation, “I can even do it now.”

But hear me, Afande you have a family too, you have children who look up to you. The uniform you wear does not grant you the right to harm, humiliate, or brutalize another human being. The pain you inflict on others will one day knock at your own door. Justice may delay, but it will not be denied.

To everyone who has stood with me, thank you for reminding me that love is stronger than fear, and truth is louder than oppression. Shame on @PoliceUg shame on you Mukibi.
The struggle continues and so does our hope.
