Sophomore year is a big deal. For many of our students, it’s when they get their drivers license and begin applying for their first jobs. Today, over 20 community members performed mock interviews with all our sophomores and gave them immediate, candid feedback. #npspanthers

We have a new banner in the Metals Shop! Nucor’s contributions to the Career Academy’s inception was outstanding and they continue to support one of our most popular pathways! One way they support us is through providing PPE to keep our students safe in the shop! #npspanthers

Students in Ag Bio visited Fenders to learn about where coffee comes from. Students will also be testing items labeled as “biodegradable” to see if they really breakdown in their worm bins. Students were also tasked with finding a use for the spent coffee grounds! #npspanthers

Sophomore Academy students participated in a “Reality Check” exercise put on by Midwest Bank where they learned how to manage their finances in a fun and interactive way! Each booth represented different expenses in life from housing, to insurance, to a charity! #npspanthers

DYK? We have a John Deere simulator that gives students an opportunity to practice operating heaving machinery such as an excavator? Teachers were offered a refresher training and we are excited to see it incorporated into our Skilled & Technical Science courses! #npspanthers
