Charlie’s Dad was a life-long #thfc fan and always went to games in the North Stand with his Son. He sadly passed away on the 13th December, aged 65.

The current criticism of Timo Werner is that he shouldn’t be a Tottenham Hotspur player. The problem for Spurs is that Werner is very much a Spurs-type player. He showed against Rangers the traits that Ange Postecoglou is trying to rid from the squad, long-standing flaws in the club’s culture, basically a lack of leadership and hunger to take responsibility under pressure. (although calling out a player in public is rarely wise. Criticise Werner for his mistakes to him in private and work with him on them).

Encouragingly for Spurs, young Archie Gray showed in trying circumstances that he could well have that strong character they need. Filling in at centre-back, he can also play full-back and central midfield (his best position). He’s the future of Spurs midfield. But he’ll play anywhere for the team. He���s that type of character. No surprise with Archie: the Gray family, Andy (father), Frank (grandfather) and Eddie (great uncle), all had a mental robustness as players. Some of the tackles that got put in on Leeds winger Eddie were brutal, and he took them, rode them, and marched on. Tottenham’s recruitment has been questioned, especially the spend on youngsters but it’s not about age but character. Gray, 18, is Spurs’ future, the on-loan Werner should be swiftly consigned to their past. #THFC #RANTOT

@LeeMcQueen It's more about the lack of protection in front of them imo. If we had a defensively minded and capable midfielder in front of them to fill the gaps, then that would improve us tremendously in our system.

@Lilywhite_Rose 100% agree with this. No leaders or proper captains. When we conceded the equaliser the players' heads dropped. Nobody was encouraging them or showing leadership in that situation.
