Northern Ireland’s blockchain moment is here.
NI-Blockchain brings academia, industry and builders together to shape what’s next for Web3 and decentralised tech.
We’re kicking off 2026 with our first community event on 12th February ↓
N.I. Blockchain has spent the past year helping bring Belfast & Northern Ireland’s students, founders and researchers into wider tech and founder networks.
Now, they’re bringing N.I. to CastleDAO 🏰
Welcome aboard as Official Community Partner @NI_Blockchain ⚔️

Two weeks shipping from Slane Castle. See you there
In 10 years in crypto and blockchain in Ireland, this is the boldest thing I've seen anyone take on.
@SuperteamIE is running a 2-week Solana builder residency at the historic Slane Castle in Ireland. Go big or go home!

AI at the intersection of blockchain isn't theoretical. It's about security, responsibility and delivering real value.
Shane from Pytilia made that point at our NI-Blockchain Summit, and came back for year 2 to do it.
These are the conversations NI needs to be having.
Yesterday we kicked off the Smart Sustainability Hub
Our first roundtable bringing together industry, academia & ecosystem partners to work on real deployment challenges across ESG, traceability, supply chains & compliance.
Not concepts. Not pilots. Deployable solutions.

a year ago, @superteamIE didn't exist. idea-stage.
12 months later: builders supported across Dublin & Belfast. hackathon wins. university partnerships. real capital raised by members. real jobs created.
@NI_Blockchain: same pattern. first initiative, to a 100+ person summit. academic-industry bridge that didn't exist before.
the common thread: consistent rooms. not content calendars.
ecosystems aren't built on the timeline. they're built in person, then amplified online
Ireland's blockchain ecosystem is a case study in what happens when you build rooms before you build reach
@NI_Blockchain from first event to 100+ person summit within a year. no ad spend.
@superteamIE dozens of founders supported, real capital raised, hackathons won. 12 months.
the room was the infrastructure. the ecosystem grew on top
the @NI_Blockchain summit came 1 year after its first event.
out of a small room & academics in belfast.
a summit came together. 100+ attendees. 20+ speakers. no ad spend. no influencer partnerships.
nobody built a growth strategy. they built a room. the room built the ecosystem.
most founders are still optimising for impressions when the real flywheel is showing up
Net Zero isn't a compliance exercise. It's a competitive advantage.
Ben from carbonfit made that case at our NI-Blockchain Summit.
Blockchain and sustainability need to be in the same conversation more often.
Quantum computing isn't a future problem. It's a design problem for blockchain right now.
Teik Guan & the #pQCee team brought that message to our NI-Blockchain Summit.
The conversations are still going
Stuart from @campfireinvest nailed it at the NI-Blockchain Summit:
the industry needs more events like this.
100+ people in the room. Sharp conversations at the intersection of blockchain, AI and sustainability.
Real momentum building - and it's just the beginning.
Joining Ireland's strongest crypto forces: @NI_Blockchain Summit 2026 x Superteam Ireland
100+ attendees - students, lecturers, founders, institutional players, and investors all in the same room.
And @solana was in every conversation ⤵️

I've got exciting news from Ireland 😁
@NI_Blockchain-Blockchain Summit 2026 was different.
Not your typical “number go up” crypto event.
This one felt like builders actually building.
On Feb 12, I followed the NI-Blockchain Summit hosted at Queen’s University Belfast — and honestly, it felt like Northern Ireland is quietly positioning itself as a serious Web3 hub.
Not hype.
Infrastructure.
NI-Blockchain Summit 2026 might’ve just planted a seed most people aren’t paying attention to yet.
And that’s exactly why it matters.
While CT is busy chasing the next pump…
Northern Ireland is quietly building real Web3 infrastructure.
The NI-Blockchain Summit at Queen’s University Belfast wasn’t hype-driven.
It was foundation-driven.
The conversations weren’t about “which coin will 10x.”
They were about:
• Blockchain as trust infrastructure
• AI integrating with Web3
• Sustainability in tech
That’s long-term thinking.
What really stood out to me?
The academic integration.
When blockchain enters universities seriously, it stops being a trend and starts becoming a discipline.
That’s how ecosystems last.
Multi-chain presence was strong too.
Solana, Ethereum, Cardano, Avalanche — all represented.
No tribal wars. Just builders.
We need more of that energy in this space.
Seeing Superteam Ireland involved shows something important:
Solana isn’t just growing online.
It’s expanding physically, region by region.
That’s real ecosystem strategy.
The networking aspect looked intentional.
Students connecting with founders.
Builders meeting investors.
Researchers exploring commercialization.
That’s how local Web3 hubs compound.
Here’s the part people overlook:
Web3 dominance won’t only come from major cities like London or Berlin.
It’ll come from smaller regions building quietly and consistently.
Belfast might be one of them.
If you’re serious about long-term crypto growth, watch the regions investing in:
• Education
• Community
• Cross-chain collaboration
That’s where the real signal is.
Hot take:
The next wave of Web3 leaders won’t just be traders.
They’ll be community builders emerging from events exactly like this.
Agree or disagree?
Respect to initiatives pushing infrastructure over hype.
This is how Web3 matures. 🚀
