Dear @tntsports . Can you turn off the "view more on discovery" red button indicator which regularly pops up when I'm trying to watch sports? It sits on top of the event I'm trying to watch. Most people know how to look for extra content if they want to.
@Lewis_BGA @marknew33597947 @carolvorders@PolitlcsUK The conservatives won 121 seats in a fptp election despite "absolutely NOBODY" voting for them?
Huge, if true!
@updick1@annie_mcginley@mooreholmes24 Perhaps you can have another go at clearly describing what your problem with the school is, then? I'd hate to misrepresent you again, and rereading the thread there is no actual issue you've described.
@updick1@annie_mcginley@mooreholmes24 Yet you want to decide that other children can't go to a school near where you (allegedly) live, because <checks notes> you don't like the language they'll be using.
Yet you still cannot even attempt to explain how it affects you in the slightest.
@updick1@annie_mcginley@mooreholmes24 Yes. I have made up my mind that children going to school isn't a threat to anyone. You appear to have been told that you have to see them as a threat.
And then there's you, thinking you have a monopoly on unionist opinion.
@updick1@annie_mcginley@mooreholmes24 I see. So your objection is nothing to do with the school? You're associating "Irish language" with "republican culture"?
That's a very broken association. There are many proud unionists who speak Irish, and most Irish speakers have nothing to do with the RA. Wise the bap.
@updick1@annie_mcginley@mooreholmes24 What constitutes "proper consultation" for you? It went through the normal planning process. Were your local representatives asleep at the wheel and didn't bother to mention it? Nothing was "slipped in"!
@updick1@annie_mcginley@mooreholmes24 Damage caused by republicans to what?
If there was a specific grievance then maybe it could be discussed. But it genuinely seems that you don't actually know what issue you're concerned about so just throwing slogans and misinformation around instead.
@updick1@annie_mcginley@mooreholmes24 Just responding to your claim that names are being changed. That's wrong, and you can ignore the Irish and be no less well off.
Loyalist culture isn't exactly well positioned to complain about others' bringing expense to the public purse.
@updick1@annie_mcginley@mooreholmes24 You're being disingenuous. A statement issued by an established residents group could be signed by as many people as you want. Even better, the people could individually contact their elected representatives with their concerns. Instead an anonymous poster-pathetic.
@updick1@annie_mcginley@mooreholmes24 Why aren't the "locals" putting their names to the banners, then? If they're so interested in what happens on Montgomery Road, why didn't they even notice when the site was identified and going through the formal processes? It wasn't hidden you know.
