If you work in #publichospitals, #agedcare or #ambulance, you'll instantly recognise that this happens most days. It's distressing if you need or provide care. The answers are complex, but achievable & urgent. I'm tired of treating people in waiting rooms, tents & receiving bays.

In emergency depts, we are meant to have patients sorted, admitted or discharged within 4 hours. It keeps things safe & moving.
Over the last few days, I have rarely seen a patient who wasn't waiting 4-6 hours to get care STARTED.
The worst overcrowding I've seen for some years.
