So many of the injustices we experience are rooted in historical land, space & policy inequities.

@hantsarchitect @s_fanAD @RIBA I think the wider issue raised here is that these ‘errors’ only ever seem to occur in institutes with a long-standing record of passivity in matters around race. RIBA absolutely falls into this category; we aren’t the ones who need to read this.
If you ever wondered why the @RIBA has such a horrific track record on matters of ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ this might shine some light. Their lazy response is almost as disturbing as the incident itself

At what point will it become clear even to the most ardent free marketeer that private house builders will not fill the gap in housing need? It is fundamentally not in their interests to do so. No amount of relaxation of planning laws will change that.
An amazing morning at #CivicFutures, discussing many things including a shared challenge of creating community-led change. I’ve been known to have an opinion on that.
And thanks for the inspiring magazine @nibridge@afterpartizine
Such a necessary shift for such a wasteful industry. Hope #retrofirst will also apply elsewhere; would love to see awards, news, reviews, etc. stop exclusively being all about novel new-builds
Surely it‘s not OK for the lead designers to be an Architects Declare signatory and also go ahead with this entirely unnecessary and wasteful demolition? Got to pick one or the other
CZWG's Piers Gough has called for the government to rethink the ‘criminal’ demolition of Richmond House to make way for a temporary House of Commons https://t.co/hqnfP8mmfQ
