I need all nurses across Canada to lift their voices in solidarity with @SUNnurses. Please show your support and help me advocate with them. If you are a nurse and you see this, please retweet!
Vaccines work (regardless of what you may have heard). Please get vaccinated. Please retweet.
We're proud to partner with the following orgs on this message: @CPSS_News@SaskFamilyDocs@SUNnurses@thecrns & Sask. College of Pharmacy Professionals!
@JM97646662 @BigNorthernPike @ElleEcktron@PremierScottMoe Umm…because you can’t wander around infecting others with your clogged arteries and liver damage? Is that really that hard to understand?
@BigNorthernPike @ElleEcktron@PremierScottMoe Do you wear a seatbelt? Why? That sounds like fear speaking. Sounds like it may be chronic bordering on phobic. I would consult a psychologist. 🙄
@ElleEcktron@PremierScottMoe I will get as many boosters as necessary and wear a mask and scan a QR code at restaurants for the rest of my life if I have to, if it means other families don't have to say their goodbyes to their loved one over goddamn video chat
@JasonClermont Because we know that infected, vaccinated people have significantly lower infectious viral titres and faster clearance which lowers transmission risk. It’s not a perfect recipe, but it DOES help in curbing transmission.
@JasonClermont …but perhaps if we put enough of them in place, we can provide protection for the vast majority of the population and THAT’S what we’re aiming for. 5/5
@JasonClermont Ok, I’ll bite.
You’re falling into a classic logic fallacy. The binary fallacy that there are only two answers: “it is or it isn’t”, or in this case “it works or it doesn’t.” 1/5
@JasonClermont The reason that the public health programs that we have are always done in parallel is because we know that not one of them is going to be 100% effective…4/5
@JasonClermont Look, we KNOW that vaccines aren’t 100% effective in protecting people. We KNOW that false negative tests occur. We KNOW that masks aren’t 100% effective at preventing disease spread. 2/5
