not to be insane but i think this and when mc said “the one who seemed to hate the sun more than anyone i've ever met, somehow became my sun, and only mine.” are probably some of my favorite things mc has ever said about sylus :( they come from such a tender place in her heart and really emphasize just how much warmth and light someone can give despite knowing darkness all of their life, and it’s so beautiful seeing how their love changes each other for the better :(
