Peter Jackson is finally returning to directing!

"Fran and I have been writing a script for the next Tintin film because 15 years ago, Steven Spielberg directed a Tintin film and I produced it. The idea was that then I was supposed to go straight onto a second one, and we'd swap the roles, so I'd direct the second one and he'd produce it. It's just taken 15 years to get there, unfortunately, a bit late. But it's a timeless story. So we just wrapped up. So probably the next film that I'd actually direct is a Tintin movie."

@taherdhanera GenAI is not the same type of tool as the brush, the camera and the editing software. The difference is in the name: it's in the "generative" element that AI has that no other tool can't replicate. That's critical to the discussion, and I find it's often overlooked

@RoyPrice I REALLY enjoyed A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. I'd say it managed to revive the fandom's and general audience's hype for GoT franchise (after a divisive run with S8 of GoT and S2 of HotD)

They have data sets, but they have something more, something that allows them to go beyond the sets. Call it what you will, but it seems to be so

@RealityEnjoyer8 @MarioNawfal yes, but i think the point here is a bit more radical because, even though humans do train on existing data, they also can go beyond that data. If they didn't, they would just make iterations of the same already existing stuff. And we can see all around us that's not the case.

@BurbunPitt jackson's already proved himself with epic book adaptations LOTR (and IMHO king kong, which, despite not being an adaptation, is an epic in its own right at least in the 2005 version), so that makes him a reliable pick. that said, I'd die to see Gibson's visceral take on it
