It was so good to be back in church today. Pastor Daryl’s message was on community and the fact we’re stronger together.

Yes we need God but we need people as well. God speaks to us as individuals but He builds through community.
Nehemiah was his example. God gave him a vision of rebuilding Jerusalem but it took a large group to pull it off.
God also gives us people to help bear our burdens and give us insight.

Our relationship with Jesus is first and foremost but our earthly relationships are important too. Don’t isolate and try to do everything yourself. Lean on your brothers and sisters and be there for them when they need you.

Pastor Craig’s message @GFCFlorida this morning was on building a solid foundation. We need to be defined by our foundation, not our successes or failures. Our foundation has to be the Word of God. Jesus said if we build on that by obeying His word we will be on solid rock.
If your foundation is solid you will handle success with grace and grow from failures. But if you don’t have a firm foundation life will crush you.
I’m so glad I have built my foundation on Jesus and His godly principles. 🙏🏽

I used to take running for granted.

Always chasing the next PR, the next distance, the next version of “better.”

Then injury hit. Weeks turned to months of waiting — watching other runners pass by while I couldn’t even jog across a room.

That’s when it hit me: every run is a gift.

Not every run feels great. Some hurt. Some drag. Some break you down.

But the fact that you can run at all — that’s the real blessing.

So today, I’m not chasing pace.

I’m just thankful I get to move.
