Twenty years of inept governance from the Glazers seems to have continued with the new investors.
Redundancies and ticket hikes seem the easy targets for Sir Jim and his team to cover catastrophic incompetence from his fellow shareholders.
If fans have to pay for poor club decisions and recruitment. Then the last 11 years of incompetence doesn’t bode well for future ticket prices, club culture and heritage nor its working-class roots.
The elephant in the room is the Glazer debt and crippling interest payments on that bad debt. Which ticks along whilst the club and fans continue to suffer.
Sir Jim should demand the Glazers remove that financial burden from our club. That should be his first “tough decision” to make.
The recent interview reported by Andy Mitten really is not a good optic.
Manchester is not Fulham.
There is simply no comparison between deprived communities of Trafford and surrounding areas in the North of England. Traditional working class and industrial areas of our country. Out of touch, head in the clouds, everything he said he wasn’t.
You cannot say you understand the working class and the area, boyhood fan or not. Then by the same token come out with waffle like that. The actions have to match the words and the words have to match the actions.
The Glazers are still at the core of this mess and whatever Sir Jim does to add to the pain of all those who support our club. This fact should not be forgotten. So far, it’s a partnership of doom.
The rubbish coming out of the club about fan engagement also needs addressing. All words not backed up by an action. Shielded by a few hand-picked mouthpieces.
We intend to break the wheel. Shine the lens back onto the club and ownership. We will not be fooled by PR spin nor selective journalism.
We warned about this three years ago and hoped that Sir Jim would steady the ship and right the wrongs of twenty years of untold generational damage to our club.
On and off the pitch we are light years away from getting our club back to where it belongs.
If you are not angry you should be. If you are not concerned you should be.
We are ready for the fight, when will others wake up and be ready with us?
Until that time our club will continue to be a circus.
A total shambles!
