Approach road to this bridge on Tons River, Dehradun, caved in today. Worth ₹16 crore, it was inaugurated two weeks ago.

This is an important bridge, as it is one of the major entry points into Dehradun for traffic from Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal.

What's worse is that people waited 10 months for this because it had collapsed last year too, and since then, people had been using a temporary bridge built with Hume pipes.

It was constructed by the marvellous engineers of the PWD.

The Ethanol Minister seems to be prioritizing personal interests over the risks of pollution and worsening water shortages. Across the country, many people oppose ethanol blending—except, it seems, the Ethanol Minister
and his son.

It has become routine on domestic flights in India to ask passengers to check in their cabin trolley bags at the boarding gate.

I understand why.
Too many passengers bring oversized or multiple cabin bags to avoid checking in luggage or paying excess baggage fees. By the time the last boarding groups arrive, the overhead bins are already full.

But it ends up penalizing genuine travelers who are carrying just one small cabin trolley and no check-in luggage.
We pack light to save time, only to end up waiting at the baggage belt anyway.

Maybe it’s time airlines started enforcing cabin baggage limits before boarding instead of making everyone pay for a few rule-breakers.

🚨 #ExpressInvestigation | The Union Minister of State for Agriculture Bhagirath Choudhary received a ₹99.03 lakh subsidy for a commercial cucumber farming project under a scheme run by the ministry he serves in.

While the final approval was granted by an NHB project approval committee that does not include the minister, Choudhary is the ex-officio Vice-President of the NHB board that oversees its functioning.

The project, worth ₹1.99 crore, was among 467 approved under the scheme in 2025.
