how far do we have to go before people realize that kalshi/polymarket/prediction markets in general are GAMBLING sites because they can offer sports. the fact that they can call themselves “prediction markets” and undermine the legalality of online sports betting is honestly insane. so many people struggle with gambling addictions and these companies portraying themselves as anything other than gambling sites is honestly criminal. putting themselves under the jurisdiction of the CFTC just to market to young adults in states where online sports books can’t even be is crazy. they push so many ads to kids/young adults on sites like tik tok and now are getting big time athletes to join in on it. I wish more people could see the unfortunate reality that we are headed towards in the future if we keep on letting this go.

I would not run my horse if I thought my horse wasn’t 110% sound. Mott knows his horse best. However I also don’t want to change the date of the Preakness. The Triple Crown is not meant to be easy. It’s the pinnacle of the sport. Only the truest of true champions can win it. That’s how it should be. Changing the date to make it easier basically kills what the Triple Crown means anyway.
