The Campbell / Bluebird story has been thoroughly dragged into the gutter now. How much lower does it have to go before something is done about it? The boat is wrecked, the RM's reputation is in tatters. What's next?
Well, well. Prof Moriarty of the troll world has been at work having last week's exposure of the vandalism visited upon Bluebird removed from YouTube for allegedly using one of his pics. Clearly they're not enjoying the truth. Won't take long to re-jig and upload again. 👍
@bluebirdk7 The Ruskin Roadshow has turned in to a right show of a shower of shit!! Time to hand Bluebird back to those who are experts in her restoration and proven knowledge dedication and passion, the amateurs have had their chance and failed, bring Bill and the BBP back now
@bluebirdk7 Tge Ruskin have put a right shity post on FB having a pop at Bill and BBP, dont worry I went on the defence I told them, bunch of cockwombles with a toolkit from Aldi
@bluebirdk7 The Ruskin are bunch of fools....remember Bute...the circus the other week was shocking, they have damaged K7, they are not fit to have her, let BBP maintain and care for her, they are the dedicated passionate knowledge experts unlike the Bodgit and Scarper crew
Then let the history books record that K7 didn't run on Coniston, Bute was her real homecoming & now she's ever destined to be a bodged & butchered travesty of what Bluebird Project created.
That's their story to keep. 👍
Plan was to live up to the assertion that our skills were commonplace, they'd soon have a new team and they would put on a bigger & better display than Bute then that too could be airbrushed from history.
Quite the opposite happened though. Pride goeth before a fall.
It's virtually all original material from the salvaged cockpit seals that kept Donald dry on 6 of his 7 records to the cut bulkheads & engine mounts. All conserved original.
@bluebirdk7 Obviously they have no clue as to what they were handed. No clue how to treat K7, time to hand her back to Bill and BBP crew, they will put right..again!!!
Oh it gets worse. The list of bodgery is getting longer by the day. The historically perfect inlet trunk that served so well on Bute swapped for a nasty fibreglass thing. It prevents the original start system from being fitted too. But at least that is reversible.
Yes, First run & tune her engine then get the old girl back to Bluebird Project HQ for a few weeks to reverse the damage. That's not the boat Donald ran in 67 & not the boat that ran on Bute. It can't be left like that.
Yup. Time to draw a line in the sand, step over it, consign this latest, dark chapter to the past & everyone get stuck into making K7's resurrection the masdive success it can still be.
Fact of the Day: The Hurricane was the seaplane fighter jet, it was first flown on the 31st Feb 1926 when Sqn Ldr Mo Stash-Copp took off from Lake Windermere (Cotswolds) and flew a 800.85km flight to Lake Coniston (Cotswolds)

The Ruskin Museum was very badly advised in that direction & placed trust (not to mention the expense) in people who really didn't know how K7 works. They got a very poor deal out of it.
The problem is the engineering they unveiled at Coniston was woeful & let everyone down so now let's look for issues with Bluebird Project's work.
We got right, they got it wrong. 🤷♂️
