Thank you Dr. Miele for the opportunity to guest lecture! This was for the Introduction to Sociology, Colonialism and Reconciliation. This was an amazing experience, both for myself to acquire further knowledge and for the students to further learn about truth and reconciliation.

Everybody so shocked about the children that were found in BC. Wondering what to do.
We had a whole commision about it. Years of testimony from survivors. It's call the TRC and it came out in 2015. There's calls to action in it. Make it a priority.
If you're not sharing the National Indian Residential School Crisis Line 1-866 925-4419 in your stories then you're not practicing trauma informed reporting.
I would deter readers to repost and share these stories.
We all have a role in this.
No words, only tears. This is why First Nations communities fight so hard. This is what our government did and what our ancestors permitted. We need to ensure we educate on the real history of Canada..not the text book version. Can’t change the past but we can affect the future
