That snl sketch is sure aging some sort of way, huh?
Cheating in Diablo we probably could have forgiven (MAYBE) but dismantling the federal government and boldly doing the mustache-man wave on tv is far too cringe even for us.

Election Day should be a national holiday. No one should be working. We should be at the polls and then maybe a bbq as we wait for results to come in. There should be floats and parades. We shouldn't have to beg people to go out and vote. It should be celebrated.
Look, I don't think every internet pundit who shouts that you shouldn't vote is attention farming, I'm sure some of them are just genuine russian assets.
$1.6 billion, the highest grossing animated film ever. Animation workers saved film/TV during lockdown, saw none of the profits THEY created and this issue isn’t unique, it’s industry-wide. Companies can and MUST provide workers a sustainable living! #StandWithAnimation
I've been rereading the Stormlight Archive lately and it's got me thinking about the aesthetics of length. Like these are extremely long books. And obviously that means they can pack in a lot of plot and character development and stuff.
But also, it means that in a practical sense you're immersed in this world for a lot of literal time. And I think that's necessary for the vibe of these books - you need to really start to internalize the worldbuilding and feel the internal logic of it on an intuitive level. And that's an effect that can only really be achieved with long books you can lose yourself in.
