obligations include stopping Israel’s occupation and ethnic cleansing campaign in southern Lebanon, which has now killed more than 4,000 people, wounded nearly 12,000, and led to the forced expulsion of more than 1.2 million Lebanese civilians by Israeli forces.
🩺 Over 500 days ago, Dr. Husam Abu Safiya was abducted and arrested by the Israeli military.
✍🏼 Send a letter to the American Medical Association to urge they speak out for Dr. Abu Safiya’s release! https://t.co/U2yn76NaO8 @codepink
@HussamAbuSafiya I hear you and think about your father every day as well as demonstrating and petitioning for his release. Let us pray that he will soon be free.
🚨 The first image of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya to emerge since his detention, taken during the ongoing proceedings before Israel’s High Court of Justice in Jerusalem, shows him visibly emaciated, in stark contrast to his appearance before he was taken into Israeli custody.
His son warned this week that the life of Dr. Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, is in grave danger. He has been held in Israeli detention since December 2024 after refusing to abandon his patients in northern Gaza. The family says Israeli authorities transferred him to solitary confinement in Nafha Prison in retaliation for filing a legal appeal with Israel’s High Court.
According to the family, Dr. Abu Safiya is being held in a two-meter cell, forcibly starved like thousands of other Palestinian prisoners, and denied basic necessities, including clean water, medicine, and access to his lawyer.
Clarification: Above is the first image of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya to emerge from his ongoing High Court proceedings in Jerusalem, and the first publicly available images of him since Israeli authorities released video footage of him in detention in February 2025. (Below)
@EricClapton@EricClapton Dear Eric Could you and Roger Waters do a concert for Dr Hussam Abu-Safiya, now held in solitary confinement by Israel.

@GovernorKayIvey followed by “heaving and retching inside the mask.” He was not declared dead until 20:25.
Is this how you want Alabama to be seen by the world, considering that you plan to use this method on Jeffery Lee on June 11?
@GovernorKayIvey ... four minutes after the execution started at 19:53, Mr. Smith began writhing in pain and his body started “thrashing against the straps” binding him to the gurney, “his whole body and head violently jerking back and forth for several minutes,”
I can tell you this: Alabama is not tired of winning.
I am proud to celebrate yet another victory for Alabamians and our elections. In this case, we are talking about Alabamians in State Senate Districts 25 and 26. #alpolitics
