@Jayroo5245 Hehe... we can even combine sketch notes from my talk last year and see some of the evolution of coroutines (scopes, etc.)!

We've been somehow quiet lately but, good news: big plans are in the works! Whether you're #Kotlin curious, a hobbyist or an expert, we want to hear from you to know how we can create a better community experience in the #DC area! https://t.co/kTqvKlQMtC Please share! RTs welcome
My teammate @Mayank_Mehta is awesome, and a huge proponent of using #Kotlin Coroutines. We were discussing our use of Coroutines for the last year, even while in experimental, and he said "I would have gone on hunger strike for this" 😂 Agreed. Coroutines are 💯 #AndroidDev
I haven't found a good Git tutorial which introduces the basics up through pull requests to use in a class that I teach, so I decided to try writing my own! Any feedback is welcome :)

Question to #AndroidDev related to #Kotlin coroutines
In which situations would you use Dispatchers.Default instead of Dispatchers_IO for a background task?
After investigating both, I don't find any real usages 🤔, but there must be some.
Thread about my thoughts:
Video's now up on YouTube! Though it was given before structured concurrency was introduced, the basic topics are still relevant :) https://t.co/38eRmQeZ2P
Last night I gave the first lecture of the undergrad mobile development course at GWU. It'll be my first semester fully leading a course as the instructor -- we're going full steam with 100% #Android + #Kotlin!
Are you looking for creating an Android app with a MVI architecture pattern and #Coroutines or #RxJava for asynchronous programming? Check out the seventh part of the series :) totally worth it!

The #Android dev community could use this talk right now: https://t.co/othtoSflPZ
- DI? It depends.
- Dagger? It depends.
- TDD? It depends.
- RxJava? It depends.
- Kotlin? Yes, depends too.
Tech decisions are always contextual, find the context instead of looking for absolutes.
