@cochise269@BNightengale@McClain_on_NFL The next tie breaker is earned runs. Two of US runs given up are unearned. Bob is technically wrong. If Italy gives up 5, but 3 are unearned they still advance. Plus extra innings changes the math.
@BNightengale 4 earned runs*. There’s a scenario where Mexico wins scoring 5 runs and it moves to the second tie breaker which is earned runs. 2 of USAs runs are unearned. So if gives up 3 unearned runs and 5 total they win the second tie breaker.
@KenWeinmanSport I don’t think it was the case but Oweh signing for 5/$100 after the trade kind of set the market. It’s feasible, but not likely, that the Ravens thought it would take a lot more to sign Hendrickson and then after Oweh signed realized they could get him for less.
@lilienfeld1 @masnRoch Well they did add pitching. But following your logic if they had added even more pitching instead of hitting a injury to a hitter wouldn’t hurt as much? 🤔
@BaKaplan_ Except Urias isn’t that good defensively. He had a very good year and lived off that reputation. When you dig deeper you see his glove has been eh for a couple years.
