The most dire tipping point that exists for America (and for democracies broadly) is when the political parties that exist care more about their own continued existence than they do the united good of the nation state. In America’s case it feels like the two battling political organisms are now fighting their eternal battle in a way that is rapidly killing the host.

Mirroring this, I’ve noticed that many of my peers seem to have a *much* stronger connection to their blue or red affiliations than they do America. I fear this is way more dangerous than it appears.

It feels like this is a byproduct of being too far from fighting together as one unit for survival / prosperity for too long. The eye that used to focus on external competition has turned inward, and we are no longer a team.

I fear that America will lose unless we find away to realign to put the good of the nation above the actions of either political party. America isn’t perfect but it’s by far the best place one earth, and I don’t think many people realize just how much we lose if we allow our system to crumble.

@ContactKingston yet again someone digs up part of the one way system and seems to have no urgency about finishing the job. It effects thousands of people - 1000’s of man hours lost every day. Surely increasing workforce/ hours would help.
