Think I need to try giving a tech talk using only images from our little farm. #farmdevops? This is Bella and she wants to tell you a story about bin packing containers.

As my American friends gather with family and friends for thanksgiving don’t forget to discuss one of the most divisive topics to be had around the dinner table. Yes it’s the cube rule of starch https://t.co/hTSYCdFzrf

@ibuildthecloud Identity and discovery seem like interesting problems with remote. Wondering when some agent flavor of service mesh takes root.

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@mitchellh Congrats on the release! 👻

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@evanphx Evan you made those years special for all of us as well! I always thoroughly enjoyed our conversations (and the occasional nerd snipe). I hope you find your roots and have a fun and fulfilling time doing so!

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@flybayer I love this. Congrats to both of you!

@midwestern_ope Megasota

@ibuildthecloud It’s a trap, I work in tech to subsidize our farm.

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@mholt6 Yes though I think the impact was more localized. Broadcast television would be relayed through various sub stations that if experienced an outage meant signal loss downstream. Similar in some ways to static websites hosted on a CDN or other edge deployment.

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@flybayer Looking forward to reading!

@flybayer GitHub runs into some interesting UX challenges here when a business wants to centralize identity through an IdP like Okta. I can log into GitHub but must reauth through the business IdP when accessing business repos. This trickles down into things like personal access tokens.

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@glcst @tannerlinsley @kentcdodds There’s alot of great BE devs as well!

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@jonkkillian @flybayer Hmm I’m not sure. I was more thinking the general idea that in GitHub you manage a tenant isolated resource like repos. Users are tenants because they can have personal repos but orgs are also tenants with their own repos as well. Users can also be members of one or more orgs

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@flybayer Roles and permissions are a big one since you can have different permissions between tenants.

@mitchellh Ive got a todo to see if i can write a home assistant automation to flash the lights or some other quiet reminder if the front door sensor doesnt transition to open within 15s. Curses to people who knock 😅

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@mitchellh I recently disconnected the mechanical chime on ours for this reason. It’s a unifi doorbell so still get the app notification without the hassle of alerting kids/pets sleeping or otherwise.

[Nick Ethier @nickethier]

@flybayer @Flightcontrolhq Congrats on the major release!!

[Corey Quinn (in Edinburgh this weekend) @QuinnyPig]

"Now let's talk about Nomad." Someone in the audience let out a cheer.

People who use Nomad really, really like Nomad. People who don't use Nomad hope that if they use Kubernetes, a big tech company will one day love them.

@lusis I have a few of these shop rags
