Prepping a bunch of cards to try and sell over on TikTok! Follow me there @nickfcards, and once I get to 1,000 followers I will be going live and trying a few different things! Would love to see you over there.
A reminder: Everyone is free to collect and sell and do whatever they like as long as they aren’t scamming. Some of those games just aren’t for me. Anyway, hope you all are taking good care and staying safe! Happy collecting!
Hi all. I haven’t posted on here in months because I’ve just become disillusioned with the hobby. When I returned to the hobby in 2017, it was because I was drawn in by the allure of being able to drop into Target, pick up a pack or box, and get the good feeling of ripping.
I didn’t even want to make money, just wanted to collect and add to PC without spending too much. I think that dream is pretty much gone now. If the boom calms, I’ll come back and try and be more chill about it. But for now, I’m probably out.
On Aug. 2, I traded
Scherzer, Chirinos and Fraley
for
Heaney, Lamet, Narvaez, Waters and Bleday
and was kinda ridiculed for it.
Since then:
Lamet/Heaney/Narvaez - 207.2 points
Scherzer/Fraley/Chirinos - 121.92 points
I LOVE being right, especially in fantasy baseball.
This right here is good perspective. Target is in business for Target. As long as they are selling shit, they shouldn’t really be policing who gets what quantity. I understand collectors are frustrated by empty shelves. I am too. That’s not on Target or Walmart to police for me.
I’ve caught restocks, and I’ve been into more empty stores than I can count. THIS IS STUPID.
Stores sell product and make their margins, regardless of who buys it. Also, this isn’t remotely enforceable, self-check doesn’t care.
@Greyson2020@grantmcauley You want your best hitter to get the most plate appearances. Period. The lead off spot gets the most plate appearances. It’s an easy decision.
