One of the most infuriating exchanges I’ve ever had on the site. Here is a lawyer, ostensibly who can read laws, who keeps insisting that “an alien” granted by law “temporary protected status” in fact has not gotten any status, despite EXTREMELY CLEAR language in the statute.
Dodgers have “VZ” on the side of their caps for the people of Venezuela who were devastated by the earthquakes.
Also, Petco Park has the Venezuelan flag on one of their video boards. 🇻🇪
It’s hard to make excuses for what clearly appears to be racial preference being given to white South African asylum seekers over non-white refugees who present at the Border. Of 4,499 asylums granted, all but 3 were from S Africa.
David Glosser, Stephen Miller’s uncle, told CNN his nephew is an “immigration hypocrite”:
“Had we not been able to enter America when we did, Stephen Miller would not exist” (2018)
One day, we’ll look back at J Alito’s reasoning that Trump’s vitriol against Haitians is race neutral in the same way we now look at the court’s reasoning in Plessy v Ferguson that state enforced racial segregation was race neutral because it applied equally to Blacks and whites.
Shohei es toda una estrella.
¡Felicidades Shohei por ser el líder general de votos de MLB con 3,341,257 votos y por ser nombrado bateador designado inicial de la Liga Nacional 2026!
On its path to end legal immigration, this Administration continues to weaponize every policy option they have to force immigrants into unlawful status and make them vulnerable to deportation. Congress must not allow this to continue.
Square this—
Our government’s own travel warning says Haiti is too dangerous. Level 4. Do Not Travel.
Yet the Trump Administration is forcing thousands of Haitians legally working here to go back.
It’s reckless but not surprising from this morally corrupt president.
When it comes down to it, the thousands of words Samuel Alito wrote in his ruling on Trump's TPS policies could have been tossed out in favor of just 10: “Haitians have no rights white men are bound to respect.”

The Supreme Court just gave Trump a green light to deport people who followed every rule.
TPS holders registered with the government. Passed background checks. Worked legally. Paid taxes. Raised their families here and contributed to their communities.
Congress must immediately act to pass the American Dream and Promise Act and give eligible TPS holders permanent protections and a pathway to citizenship.

Again and again, this MAGA-corrupted Supreme Court has proven there are no lengths it will not go to disgrace itself in fealty and service of Donald Trump. Today’s despicable ruling to allow the Trump Administration to ignore the law and abandon any semblance of human decency by prematurely terminating TPS for Haiti and Syria is devastating on a scale that shocks the conscience – for the more than 350,000 TPS holders who have now lost legal status, for our communities that will soon lose neighbors, loved ones, hardworking employees, and business leaders, and for America’s moral standing in our world that continues to collapse under the weight of this president’s relentless humanitarian betrayals.
The Supreme Court is letting Trump ignore laws set by Congress and send hardworking, legal immigrants into imminent danger in Haiti, Syria, and other violent countries. It’s horrific.
This decision is a disaster for the rule of law and a disaster for thousands of families.
The upshot of this decision is that once it goes into effect, hundreds of thousands of people who have been living and working legally in the United States, some for many years, and many who entered completely legally, will lose their work permits and deportation protections.
The Supreme Court ALSO gives Trump another pass on racism, declaring that his bigoted comments against Haitians are actually not evidence of racism and that the plaintiffs cannot show evidence of racial bias, essentially plugging their ears and letting Trump spew filth as policy.
