Congress needs to take immediate and decisive action on AI. Companies must be held liable for rogue agents breaking the law and doing harm while international agreements and guardrails are negotiated. Self-regulation is a recipe for catastrophic harm.

This appears to be an attempt to intimidate Oregon voters. The fact is, our vote-at-home system is safe and secure. I am grateful to @ORSecretaryRead for his leadership and for his clarity of communication to Oregonians that our elections will remain fair and true.
Vote early, and turn your ballot in to a ballot box as early as possible. We are in this together. Stay loud.
Let's be clear: We welcome transparency. Anyone can observe our elections, but it is not legal for anyone to interfere with them – even the Civil Rights Division of the US DOJ. We are prepared. We will follow the law. We will make sure the US DOJ does the same. #oregonelections
Trust is not given. It is earned by showing up, listening, and following through.
Thank you to everyone who joined me at the Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA) for a community town hall. I heard your priorities loud and clear, and I am carrying them with me to Congress. I look forward to coming back soon.
My heart is with the children and teachers who returned to school this week in Bend and across Oregon. We must do what we can to ensure tragedies like this one never happen again. I will use every tool at my disposal to secure the federal protections our country deserves to protect our kids.

There is no excuse for imprisoning children and pregnant women. Full stop.
Yesterday I made my 17th visit to an immigration detention facility. Once again, what we heard from the facility does not match what we heard from detainees. The Eloy Detention Center is failing to meet the basic medical needs of the women we spoke with.
As a physician and a mother, I know Maria and pregnant women across this country need to be released. These are not criminals; they are vulnerable people who deserve medical care and safety.
We are fighting for the heart of our nation. Stay Loud.
It is egregious and ironic that ICE is “fearful” of anti-ICE protesters while they are terrorizing our community members. I refuse to stand by. I will continue demanding accountability and justice for those who have been disappeared and hurt by this rogue institution.
Abolish ICE. Stay loud.
It is an honor to be able to help elevate and support the hopes and dreams of youth leaders in my district. Last year, I gathered with students and their families whom I proudly nominated to the U.S. military service academies. If you’d like a nomination from my office, learn more at https://t.co/XVhB2kQGDo.
Wherever you are tonight, please join us in a moment of silence for everyone affected by the tragic school shooting in Bend, Oregon. Our hearts are with the Bend community. Let’s be there for each other. Stay loud.
This is a devastating day for Oregon. My heart is with the Bend community, and every family who is being impacted by this tragic, senseless shooting.
Schools should be places of learning, friendship and joy. It is incumbent on me, and every lawmaker, to do everything we can to ensure our kids are safe. https://t.co/UiEGRjijLi

As we near the end of Hispanic Heritage Month, I want to thank our Hispanic community members for being part of Oregon’s cultural fabric and for making our state a better place. From music to food to our economy—our home would not be the same without your care and contributions.
As this administration wages terror on our neighbors, I am committed to protecting every family in my district and their right to due process. Stay loud.
What an ignorant take.
“Bottom line,” Trump doesn’t care about you or about making gas, food, or anything more affordable—and he never will. You deserve a federal government that actually works for you, and I’m fighting for it.
ATTENTION OREGON: Today is the last day to register to vote! Your vote is your voice. Register today and use your voice to defend our democracy at the ballot box. Stay loud.

The President’s abuse of power and weaponization of federal law enforcement against Representative Omar is disgusting and diminishes protections for all. This pre-dawn raid, so close to the election, is a political attack that I condemn in the strongest possible terms.
I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation.
I will not be silenced.
Indigenous communities have been stewards of Oregon’s lands and waters since time immemorial. Honoring that legacy means confronting the harms of settler colonialism and centering their insights as we build our future. Every Oregonian deserves a more just and equitable place to call home. Stay loud.
