@danielstorey85 Majority of comments reference VAR and officials, I guarantee there are bigger issues at play. @danielstorey85 you might like this piece I wrote today for Creative Brief on the language used against officials. https://t.co/RZB19rIyWJ
@domlloyd_@AMMSAFC@DorkingWDRS Not really sure this is how a press officer of a club should behave. Do you think there’s a huge pool of referees just sitting around on a Saturday, with the skill to officiate at this level and the willingness to put up with this level of abuse for a lapse in concentration?
@bunch_amateurs Big fan, but surely there was gamesmanship going on which is why the referee (who clearly got confused) was trigger happy? You often show Mark instructing his goalkeeper to go down when he’s not injured most weeks to slow the game down. Do you not? Not nice to pile on.
@justinallen1976 Think maybe Chris is the one that wants to be the star of the show. A man that puts himself on such a pedestal that people aren’t allowed to eat a sandwich in front of him.
@brandonedwards@themichaelowen One of the reasons for VAR was that fans couldn’t accept that officials will make mistakes. Why should it be any different when VAR’s work under the same pressure to make quick decisions on incidents that are subjective?
@markgoldbridge There is no referee in existence that you wouldn’t call terrible at some stage, nor will there ever be. It’s not possible, football is subjective. Some might say for example that a rake down the ankle is serious foul play.
