@VRounding It does sound a very promising ideal, and a promise to make it work - I hope it does for all our sakes. The Water industry is a good example of where sucking money out to profiteer without making the investment they promised to secure funding has come home to roost.
@VRounding@MishalHusain@BBCr4today I do wonder if people can't see that if they want good healthcare, good roads, good policing and such like, then it has to be paid for by taxes. Low taxes means not enough to spend on the things people expect to have.
@MarinaPurkiss Odd - I thought one of the benefits of Brexit was regaining parliamentary sovereignty, which enabled sovereign parliament to call Boris to account for his sheaf of lies...
@Proud_Survivor1 @RobertLindsay It is not true. GPs are self employed, not contracted in the usual sense. Before I retired I used to work regularly from 8 until 6.30; the number of GPs is reduced and patients increased, and the average number of consultations per patient has increased. GPs dont get overtime.
@IanDunt I thought yellow cards could be given for infringements of the rules of the game -how can FIFA impose a yellow card when the rules of the game don't mention arm bands? I don't understand football but FIFA looks like an organisation that is not fit for purpose to outside observers
