DJ Akademiks goes off on J. Cole after watching his latest run of interviews, explaining why he thinks Cole hates his own fanbase:
"Yo, J. Cole fans, that n***a hates y'all... J. Cole hates his fans. I'ma tell you why. Every excuse J. Cole fans used to use to try to defend him, that he's not a b*tch ass n***a, he completely ripped to shreds. I couldn't believe it."
"It's like a humiliation ritual. I honestly don't know what it is. Watching J. Cole do these interviews gave me second-hand embarrassment."

Chance The Rapper testifies against his former manager in a court battle over $3 million.
After suing Chano in 2020, Pat Corcoran a.k.a. Pat The Manager is finally having his day in court, with the trial going down this week. Pat claims he entered into an agreement with the Chicago rapper to receive 15 percent of his net proceeds, in addition to a sunset clause where Pat would get paid three years after termination.
Chance was called to the stand, and his story differs from Pat's complaint.
"We never described it as a contract. We had an at-will agreement that didn't address termination," Chance testified on Tuesday (March 10), according to the Chicago Sun-Times. "We moved that way forever. We never discussed the sunset clause, we just discussed how I'd pay him. And the one thing that stayed consistent is that I paid him his 15 percent. I can’t think of one situation where he did meaningful work and I didn’t pay him.”
Pat claims he was let go in 2019, but Chance failed to adhere to their post-employment agreement. He is seeking over $3 million in compensatory damages and exemplary damages for breach of their agreement, related violations of the Illinois Sales Representative Act.
In 2021, Chance counter-sued Pat, claiming he was a disgruntled former employee who breached his fiduciary duties and leveraged the Chance The Rapper brand for personal enrichment.
