The problem is so many of yall 1) can’t read 2) have no media literacy 3) have no empathy 4) can’t read 5) are constantly looking for problems to be mad about 6) can’t read 7) think of characters as real people and not storytelling devices
@beeyonceknight I'm moreso talking about the entire idea of ate / kuya being respectful vs being seen as inferior to ma'am/sir. As I said in my quote, it's okay with certain people such as airport staff if they express no issue with it 🤷
It's not a matter of respect alone but how it ties in with the degree of familiarity expressed. Both are respectful but Ate / Kuya implies some sort of kinship, which would be okay with certain people, but you wouldn't call your boss this. Context matters.
I thought of a new hypothetical to ask your partner: if I was an invasive species would you kill me for the good of the ecosystem or would you love me so much that you’d allow me to ravage the earth
STAY CLEAR of the people who don’t value the small sacrifices you make… like spending money you barely have, showing up when you’re tired, giving advice, being a listening ear, carrying their problems, or being the one who checks in first.
if you’re a sensitive woman, you better involve yourself in charity work or helping/working with children. pour all your love and nurturing into the poor, the weak, and children. it’s better than feeling motherly toward evil people just because you see the child in them.
I find it difficult to move on, not just from people but from phases of life, rooms I’ve lived in, foods I’ve obsessed over, series I’ve binged, anything that has made me happy over a period of time.
