Founder Truths #2
People say: “Must be nice working for yourself.”
It is…. Except the guy I work for is insane..
He wakes me up with ideas.. Spends all my money.. Adds problems to the problems.. & Calls stress “growth.”
… that guy is me.. 😂… Nice

Entrepreneurship really is one of the strangest games humans invented.
The normal success formula is usually:
Get stability. Make money. Reduce stress. Enjoy life.
Entrepreneurship is more like:
Destroy stability. Spend money. Increase stress. Maybe create freedom later.
And somehow every founder looks at that deal and says:
“Yeah, this sounds reasonable. Where do I sign?” 😂
Everyone loves talking about the obvious problems. Fewer people actually discuss and implement solutions. Don’t just talk about it. Be about it. Don’t you say something. Do something.
May–June 2026 update:
The machines are no longer hypothetical.
QEP’s manufacturing capability is becoming physical in Fitchburg.
The QEP Institute for the Advancement of Humanity is officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) public charity.

Grateful to share that the QEP Institute for the Advancement of Humanity, Inc. has officially received IRS recognition as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
The mission is practical: tool literacy, workforce development, human development, and real pathways into skilled work.
Onward.
This is the system behind QEP.
Manufacturing
Workforce
Federal pathways
Capital
AI-assisted training
Real execution
Built in the field, not on slides.
The goal is simple:
real work, real skills, real output.

Attended the Boston Manufacturing Pitch & Resource Showcase today at UMass Amherst.
Good event. Good people. Good connections.
My biggest takeaway: we talk a lot about the downstream side of innovation — products, markets, commercialization.
Not enough about the upstream manufacturing base that makes it all real.
Who’s making the parts? Who’s building the prototypes, fixtures, machined components, and production hardware?
That layer matters.
It was good to connect with MassDevelopment, SBDC, MassMEP, founders, and others in the room — and to bring that missing piece into the conversation.
That’s a big part of what I’m building with Quantum Edge Precision.

Some of these ideas were born while I was still sitting in machine shops.
Before QEP had a name, a lot of it was already forming:
the company, the pipeline, the bigger vision.
Sometimes you’re still inside one environment while already carrying the blueprint for the next one.

Quantum Edge Precision LLC
The hidden skill every small manufacturer needs: sequencing
Capital.
Compliance.
Demand.
Supplier readiness.
Equipment timing.
Infrastructure.
Hiring.
Get the order wrong and pressure builds fast.
That discipline is part of how real shops survive.

Why Quantum Edge Precision Exists
QEP exists because industry keeps saying it needs skilled people while too many people still lack real pathways into skilled work.
So the mission became bigger than a shop:
build parts
build people
build pipelines
build durable regional capability
That’s the real reason.
The wrong shop space can kill a young manufacturing company.
A building without sequence is just overhead.
Working capital.
Pipeline validation.
Compliance.
Equipment timing.
Operational readiness.
That’s the difference between looking like you’re growing and actually being able to survive growth.

That’s part of the actual field behind running a manufacturing company and moving through federal systems the right way. People see the title, the logo, the meeting, the photo, and the post. The heavier reality lives in the regulations, portals, compliance gates, lender questions, revisions, deadlines, documentation, procurement, finance, and execution. The post takes seconds. The infrastructure behind it can take years.

I’ve been in manufacturing since I was 15.
Now, 19 years later, the last year and a half of building QEP compressed all of it into a bigger realization:
manufacturing capability + workforce development are part of the same system.
No skilled pipeline, no industrial base. No real production environment, no real opportunity.
That’s the work.

Over the past year and a half, QEP evolved.
We moved from chasing a facility to operating as a precision manufacturing command node built on engineering, compliance, supply-chain execution, and workforce development.
Real companies mature. They adapt. They sequence.
Our compass emblem reflects that. Direction, discipline, and forward movement through complexity.

March 2026: before the first chip flies, the ecosystem is forming — primes, procurement networks, universities, workforce partners, and financing conversations all moving.
