John Oliver, "The Conservatives have had 5 different prime ministers over the past 14 years.. It's worth briefly revisiting all of them"
1⃣"David Cameron.. Austerity.. Brexit"
2⃣"Theresa May.. More austerity, two child cap"
3⃣"Boris Johnson.. His time in office was a shambles.. Britain left the EU on the same day of the first case of the corona virus was announced.. His handling of covid was an unmitigated disaster"
"For the record there is only one actual f*ckpig in Downing Street.. David Cameron.. As a student at Oxford he once put his d*ck in a dead pig's mouth"
4⃣"Liz Truss who had the shortest tenure of any British prime minister in history.. Her budget full of tax cuts for the rich which caused a mini economic crisis"
5⃣"Sunak the wet.. A man who literally does not have the sense to get in from the rain"
"Brexit created red tape that has grown exponentially.. Trading goods with the EU is now so onerous that many businesses have chosen to relocate into mainland Europe which is not good news for the UK"
"Brexit is estimated to be costing the economy about £100 billion a year"
"While Brexit makes the news, austerity is the legacy of Cameron and his successors because it has in so many ways obliterated public services"
"Take the NHS, years of under investment have left it gutted and understaffed.. Wait lists for NHS treatment have exploded.. More than 7.5 million waiting for non emergency treatment, that's over 2.5 million when the Conservatives came in in 2010"
Dropping Rashford from the United squad for today’s match away at Fulham because Rashford celebrated his birthday at a preplanned birthday party & turned up to training the next morning on time? ETH has completely lost the plot. #FULMUN#ManchesterUnited#Rashford#ErikTenHag
Brighton 4-1 Luton Town. Today was the start of a new season for Brighton, and the start of their 7th consecutive season in the Premier League! As we watched on, Albion’s record £30m signing proudly stepped up to convert a second half penalty ⚽️ Welcome to the club Joao Pedro!
Jaguar’s really are the Bad Boy Bond Villain of car manufacturers aren’t they. I parked next to one the other day and thought a nice artsy photograph of the logo and aggressive front grill might be nice.
Last weekend Em and I had plans to meet up with Jack and Helen. Jack suggested an authentic Japanese restaurant and told us to meet them at Bone Daddies in Victoria. Initially, Em and I were a little outside our comfort zone, but it was a delicious meal in a beautiful restaurant!
I am not a biker, far from it. I prefer to have some metal between me and anyone else on the roads, but... some motorcycles are pretty and this Triumph Thunderbird is certainly that. If I was to ever get a motorbike it’d be this sort of chrome heavy body that would be my choice.
I swear that when I left home that morning, the rose bush was still full of green buds and no roses... I return that evening and wow! The whole bush was full of bright white roses with pink speckled centres. I picked out a particularly aesthetically pleasing bunch to photograph.
It is a rare occasion where I am not the designated driver for a journey, but so it was a few weeks ago as we were driving along the A27 through Worthing and I managed to grab this shot. The juxtaposition of the new WARNING sign and the old wall and gate jumped out at me.
Em again looking beautiful just as we’re heading out to dinner. Although that night she changed from her usual style of colourful dresses, and went for a more elegant simple black dress. I thought the situation called for a monochromatic film simulation and I love the result.
While waiting in the car to pick up Em, like the dutiful taxi-driver husband I am, I was reading an article about how to take photographically interesting selfies. I don’t think I’ve ever taken a ‘mirror selfie’ before, so for my first one I thought I’d try and be creative.
Em looking beautiful with her brand new Disney Up! Pandora Charm on her Disney O Ring necklace. She’s got a big smile on her face because she’s outside in the sun, has just been to pandora to buy a new charm and is about to drink her Bubble Tea.
