@btaylor It's not just em dashes, it's that many other legitimate & useful language constructs are suddenly and somewhat arbitrarily super awkw and cringe
Grok 4.5 is built for real-world engineering. It excels in large codebases and handles long-running tasks that span multiple repositories, hundreds of skills, and a variety of tools.
Weโve received notice that the Department of Commerce has lifted export controls on Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5.
We'll begin restoring access tomorrow, and will share an update soon.
Weโre grateful to our users for their patience, and to everyone who worked with us on redeploying the models.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

I'm tired, boss. Tired of being on the road, lonely as a sparrow in the rain. I'm tired of never having me a buddy to be with to tell me where we's going to, coming from, or why
Introducing Claude Opus 4.8: it builds on Opus 4.7 with sharper judgment, more honesty about its own progress, and the ability to work independently for longer than its predecessors.

It is so funny to watch non-compiler engineers suddenly discovering that many modern compilers are actually non-deterministic. Sweet summer children! Canโt wait them discovering how many known bugs a typical compiler has.
I donโt review code written by agents. I measure things like test coverage, dependency structure, cyclomatic complexity, module sizes, mutation testing, etc.
Much can be inferred about the quality of the code from those metrics. The code itself I leave to the AI.
Humans are slow at code. To get productivity we humans need to disengage from code and manage from a higher level.
