🚨 BREAKING 🚨
After leading New England to multiple AFC East titles and three Super Bowls (via Madden 24 & 25), the #Cardinals have requested to interview Stevie Borys for their vacant HC position one of several interview requests league-wide.
I’ve stayed relatively quiet on this whole situation, but here’s what I’ll say now:
I was personally in a Board of Trustees meeting today where Pat Kraft was popping in and out throughout the day. From everything I’ve seen and heard, Penn State is pushing hard for a young, flashy hire.
The name I’m hearing right now as the leader in the clubhouse: Michael Shuster as Penn State’s next head coach.
More to come.
How does Ryan Bamford still have a job as UMass AD? Over the summer he was tasked with hiring his 5th head coach, and I have it on good authority Adam Breneman was a finalist. That wouldn’t just have been a bold move, it would’ve been the right one — alums were already committing money, and UMass’s deep alumni network in the pros and front offices was ready to go all-in behind him. Instead, Bamford went with the ‘safe’ Joe Harasymiak, who just lost to Bryant in what feels like the darkest day in UMass football history. Since 2015 the program is 23-101 under Bamford’s tenure, and now everyone’s jobs are on the line. In an era where attention and the ability to raise money matter, Breneman is the right person for the job. Get someone in the building who actually has a clue. It’s gone too far. #FireTheMusket
