Thanks HexhamTV for letting me tell the world about the Green Party’s bold and brilliant policies on Friday. You can hear what I had to say by going to: https://t.co/0VUPZtQzYi
Congrats on your new role as Secretary of State for Net Zero, @grantshapps. Remember, it's not the date that we reach #netzero that matters—it's the emissions we release that count. We need a fair share carbon budget—as the #CEBill calls for! https://t.co/SpDoEvXE31 @cebill_now
The Climate & Ecology Bill has just been reintroduced in the House of Lords by @LordRedesdale 👏

Well done to Jack Philipson for coming a close second in Crawcrook and Greenside. An excellent result which will stand him in very good stead next time around.
My colleague @MartinSwinbank and I put our first motion to Council today, and it passed! Northumberland CC joined 17 others (inc. North & South Tyneside + Sunderland) in approving the Councils for Fair Tax Declaration (https://t.co/F4V3jiDF2O). Many thanks to Mary @FairTaxMark!
Guy has been very slow to declare his support for the bill, but there’s still time for him to do it. Today’s motion was introduced by the Conservative leader of the council and received cross-party support, so Guy has never had a better opportunity than this to get on board.
Breaking news! Northumberland County Council has just voted in favour of supporting the Local Electricity Bill, a very important bill that will remove barriers to community-led renewable energy generation. They will now write to our MP, @GuyOpperman, asking him to do the same.
A big thank you to Lincolnshire County Councillors for voting against the planning officers’ recommendation. This is why we need elected representatives! https://t.co/rcPHoUiluc
50% of the global population have now had their first Covid-19 vaccine, but only 8.4% of the population of Africa. Why? Because only 0.5% of all vaccines given have been given in low incomes countries. The words “catastrophic moral failure” spring to mind. https://t.co/tFUNgSBI3X
In case you’re wondering, our MP @GuyOpperman did vote against a requirement for sewage companies to “take all reasonable steps to ensure untreated sewage is not discharged from storm overflows” and to “demonstrate improvements in the sewerage systems”.

I made a small detour on my way home from this morning’s Northumberland Cycling and Walking Board meeting to show my support for an incredible group of environmentalists who are walking from Bilbao to Glasgow for COP26. You can follow them at https://t.co/4ah2daK5T8
I demand urgent government action to reduce manufacturers' and retailers' use of plastics. Join me and sign the @friends_earth petition: https://t.co/T6mA2qVegw
I've just joined @WildJustice_Org in their call for our uplands to work for people, for the climate and for wildlife. Will you join me too? https://t.co/4aWTdc3hqa
