Obviously he’s been dreadful but for Juan Soto, Francisco Lindor and now Marcus Semien, guys known for posting, to miss multiple weeks at time this year is just insane
Marcus Semien’s hip flexor strain was judged a Grade 3. He tried to play until it severely limited his movement. It will be 4 to 6 weeks minimum. Tyrone Taylor’s was grade 1 1/2 to 2 and he missed 28 days. #mets
@DannyAbriano They came into ST with 7 (8, if you include Myers) potential starters with Tong, Wenninger and Thornton in the wings. Not viewing Myers as a SP is a failure within itself but to think one of Manaea, Peterson or Senga could be a serviceable #5 wasn’t a crazy idea
@toni2t1mes@oneshiningmets Mullins is probably a better example than Helsley but trading for a guy who’s been with one org in a smaller market into one of, if not the biggest market is a lot. These players are human, shit happens
@PSLToFlushing@SNYtv@ConnorJRogers What’s been reported about the hitting coaches’ philosophies (i.e. pulling flyballs) seems to not be translating (21st in Pull Air% and 27th in Pull%)
Do you think this could be a messaging problem? Simply the type of players on the team? What’re your guys’ thoughts?
This organization will never know stability if they keep firing their lead man every three years. For better or for worse you need to weather the mistakes
Stearns has brought this farm system from the bottom to one that’s consistently ranked near the top
@James_Schiano I find it odd that Mendoza seems to be completely exempt of criticism in the national media. I don’t think I’ve seen a single bad thing said about him outside of Ottavino’s comments
@ernestdove I have a hard time seeing Stearns and Co. using Ronny if Lindor does indeed miss time into the season, unless it’s for a significantly longer time than expected. I can’t see them burning his option so early after letting him ride the bench last year to preserve it
