Hein Ursula!
Kushner: “Give up the rest of Donbas, sign the peace deal, and we’ll give you money for reconstruction.”
Zelensky: “We will never give it up. Our people are there. Every life is precious. Just Peace. No rewarding aggression. Blah, blah, blah.”
Meanwhile: asking the EU for an additional $27 billion, cooking up fresh kickback schemes with his pals, posting bail for others arrested on corruption charges, and keeping the checkbook warm for those who haven’t been arrested yet.
Why stop a war when it isn’t your kids —or your friends’ kids — doing the dying?
Better still, wrap the whole thing in noble language about patriotism, justice, “not appeasing the aggressor,” and all the other morally immaculate slogans that sound particularly stirring when somebody else is paying for them in blood.
And, naturally, the Western politicians bankrolled by the military-industrial complex will applaud these “moral arguments” from a very safe distance. After all, it isn’t their sons being bundled into vans and shipped off to the meat grinder.
Looks like the bloody show will run for a while yet—until the people who designed, financed, managed, and profited from “Project Ukraine” finally decide to pull the plug.
The beauty of modern geopolitics: the sermons are about principles, the invoices are about billions, and the body bags belong to somebody else.
