@Rebourn@BowTiedBroke The actual amount due is only $1065 per month, we just make lots of additional principal payments. The 30 year loan will be paid off in just under 10 years
Tbf I do not do any difficult math manually in my career which is like most of the econ grads I know. The degree is a signal that you are capable of learning hard math that has real world business applications, an understanding of market functions, effective management, and behavior of consumers. This helps you get hired at higher paying jobs because that combination is versatile and you have opportunities in more fields than most of narrower focused degrees on the list.
Weird, I took cs courses that were my easy electives, the math was comparatively a joke to econometrics and game theory classes for econ. See how that works? Econ, like CS, gets progressively harder as you advance to more and more complicated classes. Neither are a joke at high levels
@IJoukov@cremieuxrecueil It's basically a business degree that signals very high math competency. People I graduated with are now working in many different fields like law, finance, management, engineering. It's a versatile degree
@BattleByrd My house was built in 1918. The wood used was chestnut which mostly no longer exists. I was doing a renovation and couldn't believe how hard it was compared to new 2x4s, pin nail gun wouldn't even penetrate the old wood
@IanCarrollShow@IanCarrollShow at 2:50 your Samsung dryer chime goes off and I thought it was mine so I went downstairs to check and came back to confirm it was yours. Fold your clothes Ian
@cremieuxrecueil Pilots can go faster when they want. I have a pilot friend, he flies Boston-Fort Lauderdale often and ripped his end of day flight back to Boston over an hour early. They mostly use autopilot but can take over and speed up if they want
On par with my experience. Was an econ major at Harvard. Required classes for the program in linear algebra and econometrics would have half the students dropping by the midterm. Many students who entered Harvard with the stated concentration of engineering or mathematics would have to drop classes and switch majors to something much less rigorous.
@FPCGameSoftware @Cuillins1@paulprosseda Incorrect I'm in mass and every county was blue just like it was in 2016 and 2020. There was a big drift towards Trump this cycle but it is still a solid blue state
I’m the “Never listen to your haters, keep doing your thing and one day they'll be asking you if you're hiring” guy btw. Even when you can, don’t do this kind of content he’s suggesting. You got your own unique style, aesthetic and you handled going viral with some witty responses. Don’t listen to critics & creeps or even read those comments
