Sally Greengross was one of the most inspiring, determined, brave, warm and funny people I have ever worked with. When we presented the age discrimination campaign to her, another CEO would have been worried about public reaction, Sally couldn’t wait to shock people into action.
Well done @RichardJLloyd delighted that you will follow the excellent Charles Randell, even if only for an interim period. Your experiences of working @WhichUK and @choice will provide a much needed guiding light in difficult times.
@soniasodha I agree with every word Sonia. We all need to try to disagree without being disagreeable, being kind and generous, even to those with views different to our own. Our democracy and our humanity depend on it.
Super proud to have been elected as President of The Magic Circle last night!
Especially proud to be the first female President, and with @KRhodesMagician as VP it was definitely an historic election 😊

@campbellclaret@ourwavelength Great conversation @campbellclaret the jam jar is a fantastic visual to managing our mental health AND @geoffmcdonald1 I agree that business can take a lead & support ppl to say ‘I need help’. Thank you both, N
The saddest tweet I have ever posted in celebrating the life of my dear friend Jessica, who helped us create @SMKcampaigners and who continued to campaign all of her life. Love to @Edpilkington and family.

@kathchristie3@SMKcampaigners@WhichUK I remember it well - that @age_uk campaign led to very positive change, from wind chill to leverage more payments to older people to an overhaul in how we end fuel poverty in retirement. N
Grt to see what Sheila McKechnie would call ‘fully paid up members of the awkward squad’ winning awards @smkcampaigners - feels like yesterday that Sheila was sitting on the edge of my desk @WhichUK telling me to take on the next battle. Emotional to see Sheila’s legacy living on
778 homeless people died on the streets of England and Wales last year, the highest number ever recorded. Among homeless men, the mean age at death in 2019 was 45.9 years. Among women it was 43.4 years. @ONS
Just finished listening to #DesertIslandDiscs with the wonderful @HMcG_DGNT - inspiring, thoughtful, thoroughly decent & great tracks, incl. the poignancy of One by @U2. @nationaltrust very lucky to have you as our DG! https://t.co/IGLdywF3Gr
As @telegraph itself reports, we are not facing an inquiry. Our purpose remains as it always was - to care for nature beauty and history, for everyone forever. If researching the history of National Trust places is wrong, then we’ve been doing something wrong for 125 years.
@JacksonRParsons You’re the one who is inspiring - incredible what you do without the shackles of organisation that kill many good ideas. AND while we were talking this news broke about my new appointment as CEO of Saga Travel!
